Michael Andrew joins the ranks of highly-talented photographers featured here on ETHANSAYS with Watson McGough (Red) of Birmingham, AL. Andrew spent most of his photographic journey steering toward nature and landscapes until the last two years when he took and interest in and began working mainly with male models. His change in direction and dedication to male beauty has helped two male models get into larger agencies like Silver (NY) and Elite (Miami). Red's Jonathan Kroppmann is one of sixty subjects photographed by Michael Angelo for Wonderland Beauty Parlor to bring awareness to the Somaly Mam Foundation...a nonprofit charity committed to ending modern day slavery in North America and around the world.
In countries like Cambodia, red lipstick sometimes marks the plight of young women who are forced to wear it as they're sold as brothel slaves. In contrast, Angelo reclaims red lipstick as a symbol of freedom and empowerment by showcasing unique individuals who pave a path of their own in The Lipstick Portraits.
