Photographer Louis Botha didn't include a title for these images when he sent them to me, but he did mention that the shoot was "liberating." He shot the images at a lagoon, by the coast. "It was a quite a walk to get there," says Botha. "You actually go through a nude beach to reach this particular area. What's great about the location is that it's completely desolate. It was quiet - and that instilled a feeling of freedom. So the guy is basically just savoring the little things in life."
Photographer Louis Daniel Botha captures Andrew as the sporty man, implied. Experimenting with a few different lighting set-ups, Louis was able to outline the physique, showing the details of the body. Choosing to shoot in black and white provided an even greater impact. Here are the first in a series of images of model Ivan Scannell from his recent visit to South Africa. The fashionable concept series was shot by talented photographer (and an up-and-coming favorite of mine) Louis Daniel Botha at the Hottentots Holland, Klipfontein, Nature reserve in Capetown (definitely a place I hope to visit someday). Thanks to South Africa-based photographer Louis Botha for sending over these amazing photos/art pieces of rugby player/model Andrew Beyers, also from South Africa. A little bit wild, a slight bit mad, and altogether hot! MORE OF ANDREW on the next page.
