Current cover star of Men's Health, Josh Duhamel, opens up for the ladies in the July/August 2009 issue of Women's Health about Fergie, what makes a marriage successful, and how to keep sex spicy.
Keeping things hot and the sex spicy (The lovebirds received a stripper pole as a wedding gift):
“Ha! You want the truth. I’ve played on the pole more than she has. If you know my wife, she’s a perfectionist and won’t get on it until she’s good, so she wants to take a class first. So the pole is really just decorative at this point. As for keeping things spicy, I have to quote Kevin Bacon: ‘Keep the fights clean and the sex dirty!’”
Hottest part of a woman’s body (we know Fergie’s got this covered):
“Personally, I like the ass.”
On Women going after men:
“Why not? If they like what they see, why not go after it? A lot of men would find [being pursued by a woman] attractive. In this day and age, who’s to say what’s right and wrong?”
On married life:
“It just feels more chill now because there’s less pressure. We’ve done it, we’re together, we’re happy…and it’s a great feeling. Everything I do now involves [Fergie], and I love that. Sometimes it amazes me that she chose me.”
His advice on what makes a happy marriage:
“Taking the time to learn each other’s behaviors—and noting how they treat you. My parents were divorced, and that was the last thing I wanted for myself. I waited until I was 36 to propose, and I’m really proud of that. Sometimes guys get caught up in who they think is the right girl and what friends and family push on them, but for me, it was a natural step. I got the best girl in the world.”
