Here is it...30 Seconds to Mars' official EXPLICIT video for "Hurricane." Banned from television, the video contains more than 40 scenes or images that are restricted to the after 10 p.m. time slot...and others that are more suitable for showing after 9 p.m. or 7 p.m. On his blog, JaredLeto.com, Jared posted a letter from an unnamed television executive stating why the video couldn't be shown...including "one shot that will have to be removed completely for a POST 10 p.m. restriction. 09:17 — WOMAN RUNS FINGER OVER OTHER WOMAN'S G-STRING-CLAD BOTTOM AND TOUCHES HER ANUS — This shot makes the video completely restricted." SEE THE WHOLE LIST.
In anticipation of the explicit version of Thirty Seconds To Mars' "Hurricane" short film/video premiering on Vevo on Thursday, the band has released two new explicit trailers on their website (age verified).
First up, ROSEWOOD. Interesting to say the least and causing quite a productive debate amongst fans about sexual identity / acceptance / and happiness. WATCH THE TRAILER after the jump (18+ only). More at www.thirtysecondstomars.com.
Thirty Seconds To Mars began releasing daily teasers this last week of their hotly-anticipated video/short film for new single “Hurricane” feat. Kanye West, both on their website and YouTube channel. The band released the first of the series of teasers last week, giving fans a sneak peak of the Bartholomew Cubbins directed video which was shot on location in New York City. Long time Thirty Seconds To Mars collaborator, Cubbins has helmed many of the band’s videos including this year’s MTV VMA winning video for “Kings & Queens,” the first single from their album This Is War.

The full version of the short film will premiere on mtv.com at 5pm EST tomorrow, Monday, November 29th with 1 of 3 short broadcast versions premiering in primetime that evening on MTV2.
Whips, bondage, bunny suits, nuns doing bad things in stalls - you name it. 30 Seconds to Mars' upcoming music video for "Hurricane" has it all. Word is the 20-minute video will be “very sexual,” violent, free of shirts and a “surrealistic nightmare dream-fantasy.”
Says super-hot (and shirtless) frontman Jared Leto, “We’re working really hard and it’s a very ambitious project.” “It’s very long right now. It’s clocking in at about 20 minutes, so we’re just editing, editing. I literally brought the editors here to Spain, and they’re at the hotel working right now.”
I know you're not supposed to read people's diaries...but c'mon. It was right there. Photographer Terry Richardson's diary. Open for all to see. And look what was inside: Thirty Seconds to Mars' Jared Leto...as Terry. And Terry as Leto. SHIRTLESS and SEXY. Looks like a good time.
30 Seconds to Mars frontman Jared Leto takes the cover of the January 2010 issue of Nylon Guys...and just in time for the release of the band's new album This Is War, out today. To celebrate, Nylon Guys interviewed Jared for their latest issue. A few highlights:
On his really early days (childhood):
“I was born a poor white-trash boy… We were vagabonds, and I had a peripatetic childhood; our mother brought us on her journey of escape from the oppressive nature of the South… It’s been a journey of dreams, but it's also been heartbreaking and challenging.”
On his early days of exploring music:
“I thought art would be my life. It was either that or selling drugs. I always had an aversion to being part of some corporate structure or working in a clearly defined job. I like to explore different things.”
A few MORE PHOTOS after the jump, even more at Nylon Guys. In case you missed it, be sure to check out Jared and 30 Seconds to Mars in their much-anticipated "Kings and Queens" video, featured here last month.
30 Seconds to Mars and front man Jared Leto (OMG...Jordan Catalano still haunts my dreams) debuted their new much-anticipated "Kings and Queens" video on Myspace yesterday. From the band's new album, This Is War, "Kings + Queens" takes you on a critical mass ride through the late-night streets of L.A., showing a part of the city most people don't get to see.
"I don't know what to say. We spent two years of our lives working on that record, and it was us against the world. We didn't have outside influence or help, we didn't have a label, we had us, betting the farm, and pushing ourselves," Leto told MTV. "There were times that it was overwhelming. Everything that was going on was brutal, but there were beautiful moments as well. There was so many outside influences that were in conflict that working on the record was actually quite peaceful. It was a case of survival, to tell the truth."
Leto continues, "One thing that I know is that this record is really the best that we can do. It's everything that we have inside of us. It's our complete commitment, it's our complete abandonment, our blood and our bones and our heart and our soul, and everything. Everything we have is in this record, so that's what we have to say. ... Regardless of what anyone thinks of the record, we made the record we set out to make. ... Who knows if anyone in the world will like it or not? That's to be determined."
WATCH the video below. This is War is scheduled to release December 8th.
I'm not sure how I missed this one...but I did (it's okay...I know I'm not perfect). But Jared Leto is looking perfectly HOT in this stylin' Fall/Winter issue of Italian GQ.
