Brand-spankin-newly-married Channing Tatum is GQ's cover hottie for August 2009. The construction worker-turned-perfume spritzer-turned-model-turned-actor is being called the 'next big thing,' Step(ping) Up and out of the tween zone and in to grown-up movies.

On Step Up and Coach Carter: He calls them “tweeners—you know, those midlevel-budget movies that just kinda do good.”

And on On G.I. Joe: The Rise of Cobra (releasing August 7th): “This is, like, my first step out into the whole commercial realm. I hope it does okay.”

Christian Bale, star of the new Termination Salvation flick opening this Friday, speaks candidly, but quietly, with GQ mag for their June 2009 issue. Included in the conversation is Bale's infamous blowout on the set of "Termination Salvation". ZAC EFRON GRADUATES TO GQ

Zac Efron continues his growth from boy to man, taking the cover of the men's mag - the May 2009 issue of GQ. Here's an excerpt from the article:

That he knows a career built almost exclusively on the squealing ardor of preteen girls, on choreographed dance numbers set to expository pop tuneage so perkily inoffensive it makes early ’NSync sound like Howlin’ Wolf, is something a man has to live down before you can, y’know, call him a man. He seems like he wants to pass a test. And yet he’s not wrong. Cool Hand Luke is awesome! Compared to the movies of the ’70s, the movies of today look like cheap, mercury-contaminated Chinese toys! And Steve McQueen and Paul Newman? They were awesome!

“I mean—they lived here,” Efron says, gesturing out at the city, clearly meaning not Hollywood the place but Hollywood, the state of being. “They made it through all this.”

ROBERT PATTINSON FOR GQ: INTERVIEW WITH A VAMPIRE

He's hot, he's sexy, he's undead, and he's on the cover of newest issue of GQ. Twilight star Robert Pattinson opens up to the mag about a LOT of things...including his role as a young Salvador Dali in the upcoming period drama, Little Ashes, and the fair amount of homoerotic activity that takes place in the film.

“In a lot of ways,” Pattinson says, “I was kind of crossing lines of what I thought I was comfortable doing. I had to do all this naked stuff.”

“I thought I’d never get another acting job again,” Pattinson says. “So I was like, ‘Yeah—why not try to do something weird?’ There’s all these gay sex scenes. And y’know, I haven’t even done a sex scene with a girl, in my whole career.”

“And here I am, with Javier [Beltrán], who plays Lorca, doing an extremely hard-core sex scene, where I have a nervous breakdown afterward. And because we’re both straight, what we were doing seemed kind of ridiculous.”

“Trying to do it doggie-style. Trying to have a nervous breakdown while doing it doggie-style. And it wasn’t even a closed set. There were all these Spanish electricians giggling to themselves.”

HUGH JACKMAN IS GQ AUSTRALIA'S OVERALL CHOICE

The Aussie version of GQ has released its yearly list of Australia's most influential men, with Hugh Jackman winning Overall People's Choice award. Other winners include Vincent Fantauzzo as Breakthrough Artist for his portrait of Heath Ledger, and Ledger himself as Actor of the Year. The highlight of the night was when Kim Ledger, Heath's father, accepted the award for his son - and with his speech, moved the crowd to tears. Click here for a list of all winners.
