Paula Abdul is Leaving American Idol
It's official. My favorite American Idol judge, Paula Abdul, is leaving the show after 8 seasons. She confirmed her departure on her Twitter account earlier today:
“With sadness in my heart, I’ve decided not to return to #IDOL. I’ll miss nurturing all the new talent, but most of all …being a part of a show that I helped from day1become an international phenomenon … What I want to say most, is how much I appreciate the undying support and enormous love that you have showered upon me … It truly has been breathtaking, especially over the past month … I do without any doubt have the BEST fans in the entire world and I love you all."
FOX, FremantleMedia North America and 19 Entertainment had this to say: “Paula Abdul has been an important part of the American Idol family over the last eight seasons and we are saddened that she has decided not to return to the show. While Paula will not be continuing with us, she’s a tremendous talent and we wish her the best.”
I'm seriously questioning my desire to watch the show now. She was the only sense of 'heart' the show had. And the dynamic will be so 'off'. Imagine watching Seinfeld with a Jerry Seinfeld stand-in. Peace out, Paula. :(

Paula leaving the American idol i think its a bad news for American idol...

Paula leaving is a good thing so far as three idol judges is better than four, but they're going to lose a lot of that "fun factor" when she leaves...

I'm happy that Paula is leaving the show. The fans want a full length album and she should tour.
