THE OHLALA BOYS UNLEASH BELLOMAG.COM
Every month, millions log onto OhLaLaMag.com, the internationally acclaimed blog about fabulous people, style, culture, entertainment, and travel. What began as a journal for founders (and friends) Aleksandar Tomovic and Stephane Marquet, has grown into a multimedia empire with seven spin-off niche blogs including HotinHollywood.tv, Manchic.com and Outnext.com. Now Alek and Steph, or “The OhLaLa Boys” as they are popularly known, are making waves again with the next generation in men’s fashion media, the online magazine, BelloMag.com.
BelloMag.com began publishing this summer.
Yes, it’s been a tremendous ride. The first two issues were read by 250,000 people from all over the world. The third issue enjoyed over 500,000 readers! That’s a 100% growth. Beginning this Fall, Bello Magazine will be published monthly.
What are readers responding to most?
The fashion editorials are by far the most popular but we do get a lot of feedback on the grooming, gadgets, cars and travel features.
Love the tagline: The Lifestyle Alphabet for the Modern Man.
It’s not just a tagline. You’ll notice the entire book is neatly organized from “A” through “Z”. This month’s book begins with the pictorial spread “A Bear Necessity” by photographer Fred Goudon and ends with “Zero Gravity” by photographer Errikos Andreou.
How does BelloMag.com differ from your blog enterprises, especially OhLaLamag.com?
OhlalaMag.com is a personal blog that is entirely written by us. Bello Magazine is a hybrid of a paper magazine and internet technology. It has an established editorial line and a fantastic team of creative people working on it.
What is the biggest lesson you have learned from the creation of your online publishing empire?
When you are passionate about something, as we are passionate about fashion, nothing is impossible. Sure, it might mean working around the clock to make things happen, but if you love it, than you’re halfway there.
