STRAIGHT MODEL BEN MASSING SUES GENRE MAG AND RICK DAY

HOMOPHOBE ALERT! Model Ben Massing is suing Genre magazine and photographer Rick Day for "cruel and vulgar" images of Massing that appeared in Genre magazine's March/April issue. Despite the fact that Massing took the gig with Day - posing suggestively and tugging at his barely there underwear - he says the images have garnered him unwanted gay attention and solicitations for homosexual sex. Massing states he posed free for Day and only wanted the pictures for his portfolio - never expecting the images to wind up in a gay magazine where he'd appear 'lustful and sexually promiscuous."
"He's not [gay]," said lawyer Liah Catanese. "He had a promising career. I hope he's able to undo any damage that this has done."
'Had" a career? I suppose appearing in sexually-charged Abercrombie & Fitch ads or in Playboy's spread on dapper college men did nothing to hurt his career? And you call these photos "vulgar?" What a joke!

lol.. all this publicity is sadly making Ben Massing look really bad and pathetic and ironically Rick Day the hero..
keep doing your thing Ben.. you're in control.

Ben is a total idiot. He's not to be trusted. He's the type that will sue his own mother just to get ahead. And he calls himself a model??? He's only like 5'5 or 5'3.

If a model uses a photographer to take shots and does not pay the photographer and rather, give him the OK to use the images in exchange for expertise. A model cannot later go after the photographer. That is just waist of time -- and is so rude. This guy should be ban from all modeling contracts.

You are all so ridiculous. Ben is not gay, it's just that any photographer that uses pictures for something that they were not intended for WITHOUT permission is in the wrong. It doesn't matter if it's for a gay solicitation or for anything else... if he did not give permission to endorse something, it is wrong to use his name and/or photos for it. END OF STORY. he's not gay and he's not homophobic... Rick Day is just an idiot trying to make money off of free photos and he needs to learn how to do things the right way and get permission first. And you people need to learn to stop jumping to conclusions and actually consider the facts and both sides of a story.

A Career? I work with male models everyday here in NY and I never even heard of him. I can't believe he's trying to sue Rick Day. He basically help a lot of other male models with their career.
Ben is a true fag. He just needs to admit that he's gay, and stop trying to front it up.

This Model (?) should take note of the fact that a gay following can make or break him. Doesn't he realize that more than half the production crew on a shoot, sometimes the photographer himself, are often gay?
He should thank his lucky stars for the "coverage"!
Or maybe that has been the plan all along... controversy = publicity?

If anything this could help his career, the dumb ass. Any straight model that openly accepts his/her gay admirers would welcome all the attention. Perhaps he should go join those conservative christian based agencies or just admit that perhaps he's uncomfortable cause he has some gay feelings he doesn't understand.
