DAVID ARMSTRONG: BOYS OF SUMMER

Photographer David Armstrong remembers the Boys of Summer in the current issue of V Magazine.

1979 was a year for the photographer that seems very specific in its cultural moment in Manhattan and generally characteristic of what it means to be young in a difficult landscape. The color photographs the 25-year-old took of his friends that summer in Provincetown tell that story.
