I'm french so some of yours personalities did not mean a lot to me but let me say this : Ellen DeGeneres is a hell of a good choice. She's smart, beautiful, and she does what thousands of activists can't do : she is loved by the same people who before 1997 thought that being gay was a terrible thing. She speaks about her life, about Portia de Rossi and she does it so simply and with such intelligence AND SHE'S FUNNY !!! So tell her that she desserves everything she's got and more. And let her host the oscars for the next 20 years !!!

Why did the Advocate remove the link to the list of the original 100 people it asked readers to vote for?
I'd like to know who else was on the approved list. By any chance was Andy Warhol or Truman Capote on the list? Or Sylvia Rivera?
thanks
