Navy Boys: Greased Up, Hosed Down & Piled Deep

As part of a long-standing tradition at the U.S. Naval Academy at Annapolis, plebes scale the 21-foot Herndon Monument which has been covered with more than 200 pounds of lard. While attempting to scale this "pole", they navy boys are hosed down to make the climb to the top even more gay hot difficult. Once at the top, the goal is to switch a white plebe "Dixie cup" hat with an upperclassman's hat. Once all is said and done, the plebes then earn their new title of fourth classmen.
